The Department of Education-Division of Iloilo City is conducting an orientation of all teachers and non-teaching personnel on administrative discipline, employees welfare and benefits, and on gender advocacy and development (policies and guidelines) from April 16 to 19.
It aims to prepare teachers for the school year 2013-2014 and to propel performance which begins in knowing their own rights, roles and responsibilities.
“The City Government always recognizes the significant role of our educators in molding the youth and preparing them for a brighter future… What our children would be years from now will actually depend on the learning and training they get from their parents at home and their teachers in school,” the City Mayor said in his message during the opening program.
He assured the city government’s continued support and utmost attention to educational development because of its vital contribution in nation-building and in the growth of Ilonggos as a people.
