The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) will gather stakeholders from Western Visayas to discuss the concerns on Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Extension with Reforms (CARPER) on Monday.
The DAR 6 special concerns unit said the “Agrarian Reform Stakeholders Summit” aims to draw a multi-sectoral mechanism to complete the objectives of the CARPER before it ends in 2014.
DAR 6 director Alexis Arsenal said the program needs to create good impressions and it should make good its promise of improved agriculture and economic opportunity.
The forum will provide venue for stakeholders to air and understand their complaints and for proper information disseminated on the program, especially on the salient features of the Republic Act 9700 the CARPER Law.
The one-day summit will be held at the Sarabia Manor Hotel here with civil society groups, people’s organizations, and other concerned sectors as target participants. (Source: PNA)
