Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results of August 2021 Social Worker Licensure Examination on Thursday, and a graduate of Central Philippine University (CPU) were named among top ten passers!
Talitha Charis Mari Frondoza Narido, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Social Work at CPU, earned a rating of 80.60% to place at No. 8 in the list of topnotchers. Digna Millondaga Guzman of University of the Philippines Diliman is the overall rank 1 with rating of 83%.
In a report via CPU website, Narido thanked God for her feat. “I am ecstatic and so grateful for this victory. This is a testament of God’s grace in my life. His grace abounds even more in our weaknesses. I felt zero confidence after taking the board exam because it was so difficult but I just kept reminding myself that God knows His children, He honors His promises, and that He has a better plan for me than the one I have for myself,” she said. “I am so grateful for my family, my beloved friends, my professors, and to everyone who has ever put their faith in me. To God be the glory!”
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced 612 out of 1,621 passed the Social Worker Licensure Examination given by the Board for Social Workers in the cities of Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last August 2021.
The members of the Board for Social Workers who gave the licensure examination are Lorna C. Gabad, Chairman; Rosetta G. Palma, Fe J. Sinsona and Ely B. Acosta, Members.
CPU graduates did very well in the licensure exam. The University’s passing percentage for first-time takers is at is 76% or 38 out of 50 takers. Meanwhile, their overall performance is 65.15% or 43 passers out of 66 takers, much better than the national passing percentage of 37.75%.
