The Provincial Government will impose restrictions on the entry of persons in the province of Iloilo to prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. signed Executive Order No. 028-C on Sunday, March 15, noting the ‘seriousness of the developing situation’ regarding the spread of the COVID-19 in the past few days.
“There is a need to raise the level of quarantine procedures and disease prevention and control measures that we want to impose here in the province of Iloilo,” Defensor said.
Defensor also put the entire province under General Community Quarantine wherein the movement of the people is limited only to accessing basic necessities and work.
The border restriction will take effect immediately and will last until April 14, 2020.
In his order, Defensor is also encouraging rationalized or flexible work arrangements in the private sector provided that it will not affect the levels of output.
Class suspension in all levels in Iloilo Province is also imposed until April 14.
