Iloilo City government has introduced an easier and faster way of processing Business Permit renewals starting January 2014.
Walk In applicants can have their business permits in 3 easy steps, and those with internet access can do it online. Here are the steps:
Steps for Walk-in Applicants:
1. Submit all requirements at the Receiving section at the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO)
- Declaration of Gross Receipts (DGR) – Get this at CTO or Business Permits and Licensing Division (BPLD)
- Brgy. Clearance
- Prior year’s Fire Safety Insurance Certificate (FSIC*)
- Previous year’s business tax receipt
- Previous year’s fourth quarter real property tax (RPT) receipt
2. Claim Tax Order of Payment
3. Pay business tax and other dues at the Cashier and issued business permit

Steps for Online Applicants:
1. Go to city government’s website at www.iloilocity.gov.ph
- Click “Business Permit Renewal”
- Fill-up all required information in the Declaration of Gross Receipts (DGR)
- Click “Submit”
A confirmation email will be sent to you once your application is received by the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO). (Kindly wait for your approved DGR and Tax Order of Payment (TOP) with computation of your Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) fees, Community Tax Certificate (CTC) and other fees via email.)
2. Print email attachments: TOP and DGR and affix signature
3. Go to the designated Cashier window for On-line Applications at the CTO and get priority number. (Kindly wait at the taxpayer’s lounge for your number to be called by the designated cashier)
- Present printed TOP and signed DGR along with the following requirements:
- Brgy. Clearance
- Prior year’s Fire Safety Insurance Certificate (FSIC*)
- Previous year’s business tax receipt
- Previous year’s fourth quarter Real Property Tax (RPT)receipt
Pay business tax dues, BFP fees, CTC and other fees as well as issuance of business permit, business sticker and all receipts.
*FSIC expiry date must not be earlier than February of the current year. FSIC with January expiration must be renewed with the BFP first prior to the processing of business permit renewal.
Note: For applicants paying in check, please issue separate checks for:
- Business tax dues
- BFP fees
- CTC and other fees
