British Ambassador to the Philippines Daniel Pruce believes it’s the right time for Iloilo City to fully develop its potentials.
This he shared during the Welcome Dinner hosted by Mayor Jose Espinosa III at Elizalde Bldg. March 8.
“Magandang gabi sa inyong lahat. Masaya akong nandito ngayon. (Good evening everyone. I am glad to be here). I appreciate the fantastic effort of British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) for hosting the biggest British Trade Mission outside Metro Manila. I am confident that this will be successful. It’s about time to see the potentials of Iloilo,” Pruce stressed. He also speaks Filipino.
BCCP chairman Chris Nelson said they have discussed with Espinosa the development and innovations of agri-business, tourism, and services sector as well as the expansion of retail and property sectors.

Espinosa thanked the British delegation for choosing the city as venue which will contribute to the further growth of the metropolis.
“I am so delighted to welcome you in this historic place. More than discussing business, it’s a night to unwind, relax and simply have a great time. I look forward to welcoming you back in the future,” Espinosa said.
In his response, Pruce highlighted the assurance of strong and long connection between Iloilo and UK. They exchanged gifts and toasted for posterity. (Thessalonia Ordales/Iloilo City PIO)
