The “Cops on Bike” program aims to lower street crime incidents and maximize police presence in the city.
He said that there are 20 bikes and the same number of personnel at present and they will initially compose the bike patrol teams.
He said they will be stationed in places of convergence 24/7 to ensure the safety and security of the public.
He also assured the police bikers that they will be provided with raincoats, flashlights, and other provisions so they can effectively perform their duties effectively on various weather conditions.
He added that he downloaded additional 50 police personnel to the ICPO to improve the capabilities of the police office. (PIA)
