McDonald’s opens their biggest branch in Iloilo and whole of Panay Island at Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park (IBP) in Mandurriao district on June 30, 2014.
The grand opening event and ribbon-cutting of the first fastfood chain in the township was spearheaded by Megaworld officials including Jericho Go, Senior Vice president; Lourdes Gutierriez-Alfonso, Chief Operating Officer; Hon. Jed Patrick Mabilog, the dynamic Mayor of Iloilo City; Jennifer Ann Palmares-Fong, Iloilo Business Park Marketing Head, and Eugene Reducindo of Choice Gourmet Banquet Inc., the franchisee of McDonald’s in IBP.
“We are very excited to be the first fastfood chain to open in Iloilo Business Park, and we are very happy to serve the Ilonggos who are working and visiting, including those who will be living in this world-class township,” said Reducindo.
Customers were entertained by performances of Iloilo Dinagyang Festival champion, Tribu Panayanon of Iloilo City National High School and Ronald McDonald, the famous brand’s clown.
Also, mediamen and bloggers were invited to take part in the official press conference of McDonald’s grand opening and updates about the ongoing developments in Iloilo Business Park headed by Megaworld’s Senior Vice President, Jericho Go and Director for Strategic Marketing and Communications, Harold Geronimo.
Ilonggos welcomed the opening of the biggest McDonald’s branch in Iloilo Business Park with enthusiasm and full support as seen in the jam-packed line-up of customers throughout the whole day event.
McDonald’s in IBP has a total seating capacity of 250 in two floors, with play place, party area, drive thru, and parking area. Initially, it will serve Ilonggos from 7AM to 10PM.
