Iloilo City will host the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) Senior Transport Officials meeting slated on April 25-27, 2016.
Executives from Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) met recently with Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog to inform that the metropolis has been chosen as venue for the ASEAN conference.
Mabilog expressed hope that the hosting of big events will provide Ilonggos with job opportunities every time tourists visit the city.
Hundreds of delegation from ASEAN member countries will be attending the forum as the city is poised at capturing a bigger slice of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) market.
