DA Secretary Emmanuel “Manny” F. Piñol will be the guest of honor of the event as part of the itinerary of his scheduled visit to Panay provinces this March 15-17.
Secretary Piñol will lead the ceremonial groundbreaking and will be joined by DA 6 employees to mark the beginning of the construction of its new Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office building.
A state-of-the art DA Regional Office building which exemplifies green and climate resilient technology will be constructed in the 2,643-square meter site at Parola, Iloilo City, the same location of the current building which was built in 1973.
For almost four decades of its existence, this innovative three-storey building with penthouse and roofdeck is a dream realization to the department.

This will catalyze trust among investors, private sectors and other stakeholders that will bring adherence in the agriculture sector in Western Visayas.
Likewise, the new office will influence improvement in the organization to deliver quality service to its clients and to provide better working condition among the personnel.
The construction is projected to commence in the third quarter of this year and estimated to be finished within the minimum construction period of 18 months and maximum of 2 years. The project was designed by G.H. Hisancha Architects and Builders. [By Myleen S. Subang/DA6 Information]
