The results of 2019 Bar Examinations will be released online via Supreme Court website on April 29, 2020.
In a notice to the 2019 Bar Candidates posted online on Thursday, Supreme Court made this announcement that the releasing of names of new lawyers will be done after an En Banc session.
Unlike in the past, the list of bar passers will no longer be posted in the premises of the Court.
“In light of the government’s call for social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone is advised to stay in their respective homes and check the results online. No visitors shall be allowed to enter the Supreme Court compound on said date and the list of bar passers will not be displayed in the premises,” the notice reads.
The Chairperson’s message will likewise be uploaded in the website and will no longer be delivered in the Supreme Court premises.
Supreme Court will also give further announcements regarding the clearance procedure, oath-taking ceremony, and roll-signing for those who successfully passed the bar exam.
The high court added that all bar candidates who were CONDITIONALLY ADMITTED to take the 2019 Bar Examinations AND PASSED the examinations shall NOT be allowed to join the oath-taking ceremony, unless they have submitted the requisite documents within the period previously given to them.
The Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) shall not accept Petitions to Take the Lawyer’s Oath until after the roll-signing of those who have submitted their complete documentary requirements. The OBC will issue an announcement once it is ready to accept such petitions. (via SC PIO)
