One hundred twenty-one students graduated from Iloilo City Community College (ICCC) during the Commencement Exercises at Diamond Jubilee Hall April 6.
Fifty graduates completed Bachelor of Science in Travel Management (BSTrM) while 71 finished the Office Administration (BSOA) course.
Mayor Jose Espinosa III congratulated the graduates and commended them for the great accomplishment as a result of their dedication, hard work, and perseverance.
“What the graduates have achieved might serve as inspiration to other Ilonggo youth for them to realize that education is a key to success. The City Government prioritizes quality public education with adequate support and scholarship programs,” Espinosa said.
The mayor, together with College Administrator Maria Mathilde Octavio, Business Education Director Prof. Mary June Mayordomo, Tourism and Hospitality Education Director Dr. Harold Cartagena and City Councilors, distributed the diplomas.

For BSOA, the Magna Cum Laudes were Sammy G. Escasa, Jay Lou J. Espora, Ellen May A. Jor, JV Anne A. Torres, and Edmundo B. Capilitan Jr. The Cum Laudes were Charlyn A. Labao and Jessa Mae C. Cubos.
For BSTrM, the Cum Laudes were Rhea A. Guelos, Paulene A. Evangelista, Kimberly Escaro, Robelyn E. Farillon, Avonn O. Padernal, and April Joy A. Guillermo.
Ellen May A. Jor was recognized as the ICCC Outstanding Student Awardee.
Jay Lou J. Espora was awarded as Best Travel Management Student.
Sammy G. Escasa received the Best Office Administration Student Award.
ICCC administrator Maria Mathilde T. Octavio said she’s positive there will be more job opportunities for the graduates because of their competence and hardwork.
“Skills are very important in looking for a good career and I’m confident that our students have that. It’s because they’re already exposed to work experiences since they had their internship.
